Project Goals
As a deliverable for the discovery phase, the client was looking for a detailed set of recommendations relative to technologies and architecture. Ultimately, the client wanted a new application with better performance and easier to update and refresh capabilities.
Approach
Sylvan’s Bookadventure.com site was running on legacy software with no Content Management System supporting it. Without a CMS, the education team had to rely on technical resources to make even the most basic updates. In addition, the application response time was quite slow. Bookadventure is an internal web app used by students enrolled in Sylvan’s programs. As such, performance issues slow down the learning process and caused frustration for the teachers and students (users). Sylvan’s CTO hired Loginsoft to identify the best CMS for their needs and then redesign and develop a new CMS-based web application.
