Summary:
- Vulnerability management is the ongoing, regular process of identifying, assessing, reporting on, managing, and remediating cyber vulnerabilities.
- The Systems Administrator will be primarily responsible for workstation and server endpoint vulnerability remediation, configuration management and OS/system patching.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the management of the patch management system.
- Testing patches and configuration changes prior to distribution.
- Assisting with the remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Work with security specialists, technology engineers, and other functional area specialists to ensure that enterprise technologies and security solutions are correctly configured to sufficiently mitigate identified risks and meet requirements for the enterprise, and vendors.
- Communicates and interacts effectively and professionally with co-workers, internal and external customers, and partners.
- Assist and support the continuous improvement of the vulnerability management program initiatives.
- Special projects as required or requested.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum 2 years of “hands-on” experience in vulnerability remediation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Workstation and Server Operating System
- Windows 10/11 and Server 2016/2019/2022
- Proficiency in the deployment of patches utilizing a Patch Management System such as SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, Ivanti or similar.
- Expertise is the remediation of vulnerabilities using scripting, patch deployment systems, configuration settings and/or application deployment/removal via SCCM/MECM or other similar application deployment tools.
- Demonstrated knowledge in systems vulnerability management and system hardening to mitigate Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVE).
- Self-motivated and able to produce and perform with minimal supervision.
